Kelly Friesen, President
Friesen acts as the President of Ice Exposure. He has been entrenched in the junior hockey scene since 2009, as he has held various positions as a scout, advisor and journalist. He formerly held the position as a WHL/NHL draft insider for Yahoo! Sports from 2011-2017 and has been advising players since 2014. He is based in Western Canada, but has developed a large network across North America. He has helped players find opportunities in such leagues as the NCAA, CIS, CHL, CJHL, USHL and various professional leagues.
Chris Keleher, Senior Advisor
Keleher is based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He is originally from Guelph, Ontario, where he played his minor hockey. He spent two years as a coach and recruiter for the iconic Athol Murray College of Notre Dame from 2014-2016. He went on to act as a coach for the Saskatchewan Hockey Association and coached the West Central Bantam ‘AA’ team in 2017-18. In addition to coaching, Keleher has scouted for Major Junior and Junior A hockey teams.
Jay Hebert, US Advisor
Jay is our Senior US Advisor, covering California and the West Coast for Ice Exposure. Originally from upstate New York, Jay’s hockey career started in the northeast US, playing prep hockey in New England and then playing NCAA DI & DIII hockey at UMass and Oswego State. After college his pro career started in 1998 with the Anaheim Ducks. After five seasons as a professional, he retired to move on to his next step in life. Over the last 15 years Jay has coached at the Midget Tier I & Tier II level in California. During that time he has had the privilege to have coached and mentored many high-end players who have advanced to such leagues as the NCAA, USNDTP, USHL, CJHL and the ECHL.
Shiann Darkangelo, Senior Women’s Hockey Advisor
Shiann is based in Ontario where she plays Professional Women’s ice hockey in the CWHL for the Toronto Furies. She is originally from Brighton, Michigan where she played minor hockey for Detroit Little Caesars and the U.S. Women’s u18 Team winning gold in 2011. She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2015. Shiann has competed with the U.S. Women’s National Team, winning gold at the World Championships in 2016, and two Four Nations Cups in 2014 and 2015. Shiann has played 4 year of professional hockey both in the NWHL and CWHL, winning the Isobel cup in 2017 for the Buffalo Beauts. In the 2017-18 season Shiann was a Sports Ambassador for the Kunlun Red Star located in Shenzhen, China.
